A Reflective Journey Through Four Unique Lenses
The AlphaTauri OCOMM V1.C1.03 isn't just any commuter jacket—it's an innovative blend of warmth and visibility, thanks to its heatable technology and reflective material. To highlight this functionality, AlphaTauri collaborated with four talented photographers, giving them the freedom to explore and portray the jacket’s unique qualities. Here's how Zoe Rain, Maxime Horlaville, Wilhelm Westergren, and Tomislav Može brought this jacket to life through their distinct artistic visions.
Zoe Rain: Neon Dreams and Vibrant Colors
Zoe Rain’s photography style evolved from live music photography, characterized by neon lighting, backlighting, and deep shadows to create a cinematic feel. Her career took off while working with Macklemore on his world tour. For the AlphaTauri OCOMM V1.C1.03 shoot, Zoe chose a nighttime scene in LA with palm trees. Using a direct flash and a strobe with a blue gel, she illuminated the jacket while creating a dreamy atmosphere. The reflective material glowed beautifully, capturing the essence of the jacket in a vibrant urban landscape.
Tomislav Može: Authenticity and Energy
Tomislav Može’s photography style is defined by its authenticity and emotional depth. His journey began with mountain biking and BMX, which transitioned into capturing dynamic moments through the lens. For the AlphaTauri OCOMM V1.C1.03 shoot, he embraced a dual role as art director and model. Supported by friends and family, he faced the challenge of highlighting the jacket's reflective material. Using a bike lamp for direct lighting and a continuous side light for depth, he showcased the jacket's unique qualities, emphasizing motion with panning shots and jumps.
Maxime Horlaville: Urban Symmetry and Motion
Maxime Horlaville started with urban architecture photography, characterized by symmetries and strong leading lines, and later incorporated human elements and motion. For the AlphaTauri OCOMM V1.C1.03 shoot, he chose an underground parking lot to maximize the jacket’s brightness. Employing the “rear curtain flash” technique, he combined long exposures with flash strobes to capture motion and light trails. The images were dynamic and visually striking, with the jacket’s reflective properties standing out against the textured background.
Wilhelm Westergren: Embracing Spontaneity and Simplicity
Wilhelm Westergren’s free-flowing and spontaneous style began in Paris with black-and-white street photography and portraits. For the AlphaTauri OCOMM V1.C1.03 shoot, Wilhelm focused on the material and reflectiveness of the jacket. Using a Fuji GFX camera, he shot tightly and played with slow shutter speeds and off-camera flash. Conducting the shoot in his personal studio allowed him to experiment easily. The result was a series of images that highlighted the jacket’s unique features in a controlled yet creatively vibrant environment.
The AlphaTauri OCOMM V1.C1.03 project showcases the power of creative freedom and the unique perspectives of four talented photographers. Each brought their own style and vision, resulting in a diverse and captivating portrayal of this innovative jacket. As we continue this visual journey, we celebrate the synergy between functional fashion and artistic expression, unveiling each photographer's unique interpretation of this remarkable garment.
