Fresh from a striking AlphaTauri Autumn-Winter photoshoot in Barcelona, we caught up with pro-skateboarder and Red Bull athlete Danny León. He shared his journey from a nine-year-old borrowing skateboards to becoming one of the sport's most innovative and expressive athletes. Known for his unique approach to skateboarding and fashion, Danny’s passion for self-expression makes him a natural fit as an ambassador for AlphaTauri’s blend of innovation and style.

Danny’s love for skateboarding began in his hometown just outside Madrid, where he first stepped on a board at a local skatepark. “I started by borrowing other people’s boards,” he recalls. “But after just one day, I couldn’t stop.” By the age of 13, Danny was travelling the world as a professional skateboarder, learning not just tricks but life skills. “Skateboarding has taught me everything—how to travel, how to connect with people, and how to express myself. It’s not just a sport; it’s an art form.”

For Danny, skateboarding is about more than competitions—it’s about creativity and culture. “Two skaters can do the same trick, but their style makes it completely different. That’s what makes it art,” he says. This philosophy extends to his personal style, which he describes as clean and smooth, with a focus on details. “The way I skate and the way I dress are connected. I like to keep things clean, but always with something unique or technical to make it stand out.”

Danny even considers the vibe of a skate spot when dressing, coordinating colours to fit the surroundings. “If I’m skating somewhere grey and green, I’ll wear something white or bright to contrast—it’s all about expressing yourself in the moment.”

Looking ahead, Danny is focused on projects that explore skateboarding’s cultural side while keeping an eye on the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles. “For me, skateboarding is about art, culture, and connecting with people.”
